What is Heat Transfer?

Heat transfer printing is a newer decoration method, but it’s come a long way from the iron-on decals of old.  With heat transfer, also known as digital transfer, your custom logo or design is printed onto transfer paper and then ink is thermally transferred from the paper to your fabric using heat and pressure. Heat transfer can be performed in a few different ways. There’s inkjet transfers, dye sublimation transfers, digital appliqué transfers, and vinyl transfers.

In past few years, heat transfer printing were mainly used in the printing of novelty items, such as polyester tops and t-shirts. But today heat transfer printing has gained significant importance and favor in several industries especially in the personalised gift industry as an alternative for printing more unique personalised gifts with no MOQ.

What is Embroidery?

Embroidery is the technique of decorating apparel, fabric, or other materials with needle and thread. It gives you an embossed design on your clothes. Embroidery is usually placed on the left chest unless specified. It is commonly used as an identity for corporate uniforms.

How is embroidery priced?

Our embroidery is priced by stitch count (the number of stitches that go in to your design). The typical stitch count for a 3" logo is about 5,000 to 10,000 stitches. Stitch counting is fair for the customers as they will get a rough idea about what is required in a logo. If you are sewing a custom logo, there is also a digitization fee; which is the process where your logo is converted into a format which our sewing machine is able to read.

Is embroidery for me?

Embroidery is ideal for certain mediums such as t-shirt, polos, caps, jackets, towels, bags, etc. It adds an elegant touch to your corporate identity or to your own design. We are happy to inform that most of our products are able to be embroidered. However, we do impose a minimum quota for certain products. Kindly call or email to check with us and we will be more than happy to assist you.

What is silkscreen printing?

Screen printing is a type of printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. Forming open areas of mesh, the attached stencil transfers ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto asubstrate. A fill blade is moved across the screen stencil, injecting ink into the mesh openings for transfer by capillary action when the fill blade moves.

How is silkscreen printing priced?

Our silkscreen printing is priced depending on the size of your proposed design and/ or colours. There is also a digitization fee, which is the process of converting your logo into an ink-blocking stencil.

Is silkscreen printing for me?

In general, silkscreen printing is cheaper than embroidery. Embroidery has its maximum size but silkscreen can print as large as A3 size. If you want your artwork to be seen clearly, then silkscreen is definitely the right choice for you. Cotton round neck t-shirt and non woven bag are the most common products for silkscreen printing.
